Twitter 09/23/2008
My son convinced me to get a Twitter account, but I only get it updated about once or twice a week. Kind of like blogging only shorter. I have to be careful not to get caught up in searching for other writer, author, literary, reader types or I will use up my writing time. It is fun to see who is out there and what they are doing. Since I'm working from home I miss the human contact of an office and Twitter kind of makes up for it. I think I'll wait to do it on my phone, I just got used to the photography and text features. If I get too carried away it could eat up my time, too. Spare Time? 09/17/2008
Spare Time? What is that anyway? I received a message from a lovely piece of Dove Dark Chocolate (the wrapper) that said it was okay to do nothing. Even though we were just on vacation we seldom did nothing. We either looked at the sights or traveled to another destination or visited museums or walked around the amazing terrain, but nothing? The closest my hubby came was trying to fish for trout, but even then he was reeling the fishing pole or walking down the bank. I think doing nothing is a lost art. I know I have certainly lost it. I can't sit still unless I have a book in my hand, or a notebook to write in, or the TV is on, or some such. Sad isn't it? Perhaps it is time we all worked for some "spare time" again. It might feel pretty darn good. Awesome Vacation 09/13/2008
We're back and buried, but we had a great vacation. We traveled over 2700 miles through Wyoming, Colorado and Kansas. Yellowstone is wonderful, and the Tetons are spectacular. I know I'm using a lot of adjectives here, but they work. Awesome Vacation 09/13/2008
